We are currently accepting applications for the positions of Firefighter / BLS and Firefighter / ALS .

2009-10 Firefighter/EMT Hiring Salary Ranges

• Firefighter/BLS (EMT-B & EMT-E):                          $34,378-$41,254*

• Firefighter/ALS (EMT-CT, EMT-I, & EMT-P):            $34,378-$48,817** Base Salary

*Based on experience and qualifications

**Additional ALS stipend of $6,581 per year after successful OMD releasal

EXAMPLES

An ALS provider with four years of prior experience as a released ALS provider, and no career fire experience could be hired at:	A firefighter/medic with five years of career experience and three years as a released ALS provider could be hired at:	A firefighter/EMT with seven years of career experience could be hired at:
$39,879**/year **plus ALS stipend after releasal, totalling $45,678	$41,942**/year **plus ALS stipend after releasal, totalling $47,700	$39,192/year *after being released as a BLS provider

Current Firefighter/EMT Hiring Timeline

• Week of November 9th:  Advertising begins

• December 6th: Applications close
