Ivy Fire Station
Project Scope

A 24/7 fire and rescue facility of approximately 5,800 square feet, within an existing warehouse, consisting of 3 apparatus bays (2 engines, 1 ambulance) and support facilities for a crew of 6.

General Contractor:  Coleman-Adams Construction Project Budget:  $2,221,029

• Site plan approved.
• County's share (~$400,000) of site improvements costs finalized with UVA.
• Notice to Proceed issued 10/22/12 to Coleman-Adams to commence work.
• Building permit issued 10/19/12 for interior renovations.
• Parking space grade waiver approved by Board of Supervisors on 7/11/12.
• Critical slopes waiver approved by Board of Supervisors on 5/2/11.
• Board of Supervisors approves (4/4/12) County entering into new sublease with UVA (no longer requires County to replace loading dock, but requires other site improvements at County’s expense, and changes deadlines for required plan approvals).
• Planning Commission finds that the proposed Ivy Fire Station is in substantial accord with the County’s adopted Comprehensive Plan (11/15/11).
• Deed of Sublease with the University of Virginia (UVA) for new Ivy Fire Station approved by Board of Supervisors on 3/9/11.
