Crozet Streetscape Phase 2 and 2A

Project Scope

Phase 2 (Crozet Avenue) and 2A (Library Avenue and Alleys):
The streetscape project is an essential step in achieving the goals of the Crozet Master Plan by improving pedestrian connectivity within downtown Crozet, providing economic benefits and increased vitality for business owners, balancing the needs of all users including vehicles, pedestrians, and bicyclists, and aesthetically enhancing the entry way and main thoroughfare of downtown.  Phase 2 and 2A of the project includes relocation of overhead electric & utility lines from Crozet Avenue, new stormwater drainage system, first block of Library Avenue (aka 'Main street'), and pedestrian, vehicular, and streetscape enhancements along Crozet Avenue from The Square to Tabor Street.

Phase 2 (Crozet Avenue) -
All utility easements have been obtained and Notices to Proceed have been issued to CenturyLink, Dominion Virginia Power, and Comcast. Final design plans under review; finalizing right-of-way/construction easements.
Phase 2A (Library Avenue) - Road completed and opened to public. Board of Supervisors resolution requesting acceptance of Library Avenue into the State secondary road system submitted to the Virginia Department of Transportation in December 2012.
