The talented and experienced staff of the Project Management Division (PMD) is proud to be engaged in one of the more exciting, challenging and rewarding operations of County government. Our team is principally involved in overseeing the planning, design and construction of all major capital improvements undertaken on behalf of the County, including general government facilities, libraries, parks, fire stations, schools, stormwater and transportation projects. Indeed, we pride ourselves in the efficient and effective delivery of economical and environmentally sensitive infrastructure and facilities to serve our growing community needs.
The County’s Capital Improvements Program (CIP) represents the principal planning tool for our community’s long term capital expenditures over a 10 year period. The CIP coordinates community planning, financial capacity and physical development and anticipates the County’s needs for new public buildings and facilities, major renovation/maintenance of existing buildings and facilities, transportation and stormwater improvements, enhancements such as roadway landscaping and street lights, and new/replacement equipment.
