General Services Home

General Services is primarily responsible for 1) maintaining and improving the physical assets of the County (such as its buildings, grounds, Keene landfill, and other infrastructure), 2) managing our operations to ensure environmental compliance, promote pollution prevention, and minimize waste, and 3) in coordination with the Department of Community Development, protecting the water resources and other natural resources of the County through various programs, including capital projects. Essentially…… The General Services Department provides the following services: Building Maintenance and Repair Custodial Services Grounds Maintenance and Landscaping Copy Center Operations; and Internal Mail Services The General Services Department is also responsible for: Environmental Management, which includes Environmental Management System implementation, environmental compliance, and pollution prevention; and   Water Resources Management through various programs including the planning, design, and construction of capital projects, ensuring proper maintenance of public and private stormwater management facilities, and public education and involvement.
