Governor Northam Announces 106 New Jobs in Albemarle County
Castle Hill Gaming to invest $1.3 million to expand corporate headquarters - Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Castle Hill Gaming, a software developer of quality gaming solutions to clients across the United States, will invest $1.3 million to expand its corporate headquarters in Albemarle County. Castle Hill Gaming will receive funding from the Virginia Jobs Investment Program (VJIP) to support the hiring and training of 106 new employees.

Albemarle County Board of Supervisors appoints new Zoning Administrator, Bart Svoboda
The Albemarle County Board of Supervisors is pleased to announce this afternoon the appointment of Bart Svoboda as Zoning Administrator. The Zoning Administrator administers and enforces the County's zoning code.

June 11, 2019 Primary Elections Information
ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VA - A dual Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2019. All county voting precincts will be open for this election.

Albemarle County beaches kick off 2019 opening with Memorial Day holiday
On Saturday, May 25, swimming beaches at Chris Greene, Walnut Creek, and Mint Springs open over the Memorial Day holiday weekend. Swimming will be available daily through Labor Day once County schools let out for summer break on June 7.

Albemarle County announces Deputy Director of Community Development, Amelia McCulley
Albemarle County is pleased to announce this afternoon the appointment of Amelia McCulley as Deputy Director of Community Development. This position, new to Albemarle County, will focus on providing operational leadership for the department.
